Fiskeri i Tarup-Davinde Søerne

Fishing in the Tarup-Davinde Lakes
"English translation further down the page."

Fishing in the Tarup-Davinde Lakes

The fishing in the Davinde lakes is absolutely fantastic for both pike and perch, and it’s also one of the most affordable fishing experiences that everyone can afford.
It can, however, be difficult to find the lakes where fishing is allowed — not to mention where to park — but at GoFishing, we’ve made it incredibly easy by creating our own map of the lakes.

You are allowed to fish in the following lakes when you purchase an annual permit for just 50 DKK pr year

An annual permit for T.D.S. must be purchased, and it only costs 50 DKK.
The permit is personal and may not be transferred to others.

Persons under 18 do not need to purchase an annual permit, but must instead submit their information and print out the confirmation, which will serve as their fishing license!

Tarup-Davinde Lakes Welcome to Tarup-Davinde Fishing Association (T.D.S) T.D.S holds fishing rights in the following lakes:

Trekløversøen, Hudevad Lake, Østersøen, Aborresøen, and Davinde Lake. All fishing lakes are also used for other activities, which must naturally be respected—see below.

Parking must take place in the designated parking lots in the area – Parking on Ørbækvej is not allowed.

You must be able to show your fishing permit/booking confirmation at any time, should a T.D.S. or O.S.K. inspector request it.

Closed seasons: Eel – October 16 to July 31 (inclusive) Pike – March 1 to April 30 (inclusive) Closed season means that fishing for and taking home the mentioned species is strictly prohibited during this period.

Rules:

All fishing must take place from the shore; the use of boats, float tubes, or similar is not allowed. Fishing with traps, nets, or harpoons/spears (underwater hunting) is not allowed, and any violations will be reported to the authorities.

Catch and Release

Tarup-Davinde practices Catch and Release – ALL fish must be released back into the water. Exception: Davinde Lake – see below. If a fish is severely injured during fishing, it must be humanely killed and its swim bladder punctured, then returned to the lake.

Tarup-Davinde I/S always has priority use of the lakes for their own events—this must be respected.

There must be peace and quiet around the lakes by sunset (according to the Nature Protection Act). Fishing is allowed from 6:00 AM – 12:00 AM (Midnight) – (Be mindful of the neighbors)

Carp fishing

Is allowed from 12:00 AM – 6:00 AM only from marked carp spots / overnight areas and ONLY from these spots.

See images in this link

At the marked carp spots, bivvies/brollies are allowed.

From March 1 to October 31 (inclusive), bivvies or brollies must NOT have a groundsheet. Overnight stays in tents are allowed only in areas designated by Tarup-Davinde I/S.

Special rules for Davinde Lake:

Boat fishing is not allowed, but boats may be used to deploy markers and rigs.

From Davinde Lake, you may keep 1 pike per day (60–75 cm), and 2 perch per day (minimum size: 19 cm).

In the summer period, when there are many swimmers at the lake, swimmers have priority, including at the marked carp spots. Diving is not allowed from sunset to sunrise. Diving courses or similar activities after sunset must be agreed upon with Tarup-Davinde I/S.

General:

Remember, we are guests at Tarup-Davinde, and guests should behave accordingly. Show consideration for other users of the area—many people use it, and not everyone can or will be right.
If the lake you wish to fish in is being used for water sports that day, please choose another lake or come back another day. These are the options for the area.

The 7 Commandments of the Sport Fisher

  1. Never fish in waters without having a valid permit or required permission.
  2. Always follow the regulations set for the waters you are visiting.
  3. Observe all closed seasons. Give the fish a fair chance—fish like a sportsman, using sporting gear.
  4. Respect other anglers’ fishing spots. Don't fish too close, and walk around their area.
  5. Leave the area as you found it—be a welcome guest again next time.
  6. Help protect our fishing waters. Others may see you as the ideal angler—strive to live up to that.
  7. Clean up after yourself—remember, you'd also like to arrive at a clean, tidy spot next time

Crayfish Fishing Rules for Crayfish Fishing:

Davinde Lake contains a large population of the invasive Signal Crayfish, which can be distinguished from the native crayfish by a white or bluish spot at the base of the claw (this spot can be faint).

The Signal Crayfish originates from North America. It was introduced to Danish aquaculture in the 1970s but has since escaped into nature, spreading and establishing a growing wild population. T

he Danish Environmental Protection Agency defines invasive species as: “Invasive species are animals and plants that spread to areas where they wouldn't naturally occur, negatively impacting native biodiversity and potentially causing significant economic damage.” Signal Crayfish undermine lakebanks and outcompete our native crayfish, which they can also infect with crayfish plague.

As Signal Crayfish are invasive, the Environmental Protection Agency has strict rules for their fishing and handling. These are incorporated into the regulations for the public area in Tarup-Davinde:

Crayfish may only be caught in Davinde Lake.

They must be transported in a way that prevents escape between capture and cooking. Under no circumstances may they be released into other lakes or streams. Collection/capture is for personal consumption only, not for resale. Swimming/snorkeling to catch crayfish is allowed. SCUBA diving is not allowed.
Use of light during snorkeling is not allowed. Pre-baiting with e.g., fish waste is not allowed.
Allowed fishing gear: one of the following per person: A crayfish frame* (krebsebrik) A net (children’s fishing net) A crab line with a clip Fishing with traps, fixed nets, or other net types is not allowed.
Crayfish may be caught year-round, but they are most active from mid-July to the end of September, especially at night. No fishing license is required for Signal Crayfish in Davinde Lake.
